I remember taking Fr. Healy to a new specialist and when asked which medicines he was currently taking, Fr. Healy answered, "I actually have no idea. My life is not about them. I have other important work to do." It always stayed with me that he was more interested in his ministry and the care for others, even perhaps at the expense of his own health. On this World AIDS Day let us all reflect on the work that still needs to be done to help those living with AIDS and recommit ourselves to take action to bring about a cure to this pandemic.
